DSV Cricket Premier League – 11th January 2026

What a truly spectacular Cricket Tournament it turned out to be! A most memorable day filled with thrill, excitement, and an extraordinary spirit of togetherness.

The matches commenced at 10:00 a.m. and continued seamlessly until 10:00 p.m., marking nearly 12 hours of non-stop cricketing action. The tournament featured 6 Men’s teams, 2 Women & Children’s teams, along with a friendly match involving our senior members. In all, 22 matches were played, including the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and the Grand Finale.

Every player gave their best on the field. Whether in the Men’s teams, Women’s teams, or our young children, who truly represent the bright future of DSV. Watching everybody play and particularly the children with such confidence and skill was an absolute delight for the audience and a treat to the eyes.

While the batting performances were commendable, the fielding across matches was truly of next level. Time and again, we witnessed astonishing and almost unbelievable catches- moments that one rarely gets to experience live and which left the spectators in awe.

The spectator turnout remained full-house right until the very last ball. The enthusiasm of the audience was heart-warming. Many Mothers cheering with their children in their laps families staying throughout the day, and emotions running high on the field and off it- these moments made the event truly special. We are highly thankful to all the members in the audience for being there with us and to cheer up the teams which made this event real lively.

One particularly touching sight was that of almost 87-year-old Dadi Maa Ramilaben Malavia, who stayed till the very end to cheer for her grandson Yash, and she proudly stood beside him while he received his trophy. The joy and glow on her face while accepting the trophy is a moment that will remain etched in our memories.

Young Madhav (grandson of Maheshbhai Shah) was so engrossed in the matches that he enthusiastically commented on every ball and play, staying till the very end of the tournament. Similarly, Ritesh’s daughters were present throughout, cheering passionately for their father while he played. There were moments of joy, excitement, and even tears- including a child was seen crying when his father got out- scenes that were deeply emotional and rarely witnessed in sporting events.

Such was the scale of involvement, bonding, and enthusiasm among our DSV members. Despite continuous play for 12 hours, there was not a single sign of fatigue- only energy, smiles, and unwavering support from players and spectators alike.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Youth Wing of DSV Mahajan, led by Saurabh Malkan and Jay Sheth ( and well supported by Pratik Shah, Mitesh Selarka, Harsh Gorasia, Ritesh Mandavia and Sagar Shah ) for their tireless efforts in conceptualising, organising, and executing this tournament. From planning and Auctions to the final match, every aspect reflected meticulous planning and a highly professional approach.

Thanks to all the Office bearers and Managing Committee members for their untiring support before & during the event.
