We feel very sad for the massacre that happened at Pahelgam and we condemn this gruesome act. We pray for our people who died in this ill fated attack for their soul to be in peace..... Om shanti.
Pursuant to the Resignation received from our Past President Shri Jagdip Shah, the Managing Committee members, in the last meeting, had appointed me, as an interim President of the Mahajan, till next election. I am thankful to all of you for having confidence in me. I realise the responsibilities that comes along with the position. But I am sure that the task that my predecessors - the Past Presidents has attained, I will be able to further that. I very much look forward to the guidance of the Past presidents and the support from all of you in this endeavour. We shall work as a team in the interest and betterment of the community. Unity, Solidarity and Intimacy within the community is of primary and paramount importance and shall be our prime focus to observe in all act we think and do.
There are N number of Programs that can be undertaken covering certain fields like - Excursion, Cultural, Welfare & upliftment, Medical, Business-Education - Legal counselling, Sports, Youth forum and activities involving Ladies & Children and such. I believe in collaborative and shared approach and with that every thing and every activities gets relatively easy to attain. And we shall do so. We shall together, identify when and what activities can be done. We shall plan accordingly and work towards it. We shall form some sub committees & working groups on above fields. Those interested or can contribute in any way, please write to the Secretaries. We shall be too pleased to have you as part of our working committees.
Some of the activities that can be planned in the coming months. They are:
To organise 'Treasure Hunt cum Rally in coming season.
To run a yearly Memorial Lecture Series' with different inspiring spiritual speakers.
To arrange for Painting competition for kids of 7 to 10 years & another 11 to 15 years of age group.
To arrange a one-day trip to Samudrimata Temple at Chinchan.
To do programs for Children for their cultural enhancement.
Plan visit to "Nehru Planetarium' for children of age group 7 to 15 years.
To arrange for Lectures for the benefit of members on subject like Insurance, Investment, Health, etc.
I very well acknowledge and thank all the members of the Community for the way they have participated, with open hand and heart, in the last two years and I am sure that they shall continue to extend support to our Community with more vigour and zeal, in its noble endeavour.
